  • Spring is a very busy time for required State assessments.Below is a calendar of our planned assessment dates.You can help your student by making sure they are getting ample sleep leading up to testing and a filling breakfast that is high in protein.If you would like information on practice tests or study information, please contact your student’s teacher.

  • Suicide Grief Support Group meets Sundays at the SES Library (2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20) from 6:00-7:00.
  • If your child is struggling with feelings of depression or thoughts of suicide, please let us know.We are here to help and can connect you to resources.

  • Are you ready to DANCE?Mark your calendar for May 4th!
  • Forest Youth Success is hiring for the 2018 Season. Get paid to work on trail crews in Skamania County. For current 8th-11th grade students. For more information please visit: www.forestyouthsuccess.org. Pick up applications in the SHS office.

 

SHS Students and Families

  • ASB Executive officer and SHS School Board representative  election packets are now in the office and DUE Wednesday, May 9. Elections May 11th.
  • Class officer packets are DUE in the office May 16th. Elections May 18th.
  • Applications for the Insitu Summer Internships are now available in the counseling office.  The internships are for students who are 17 years and older as of June 30,2018.  These internships are targeted toward students who are pursuing a vocational career pathway.  Applications are due May 9 in the counseling office.  Please contact Counseling for more information.

  • Lifeguard Certification at the Community Pool on May 12th, 11:30am – 6:00pm. & May 13th 10:00am – 5:30pm.WHERE? Stevenson Community Pool. Must be at least 15 years old.
  • SCUBA Class are coming soon! Saturday and Sundays: May 5,6,12 &13, 9:00am- 10:30am, 11:00am – 2:30pm. Open Water Weekend: Saturday and Sunday May 19 and 20.Contact our Community Pool for more information and costs.
  • Are you a high schooler who's interested in biology and the outdoors? Do you know one? You can spend a week exploring the blast zone of Mount St. Helens alongside scientists at the Mount St. Helens Institute's Summer Ecology Program! Financial assistance is available.   • The Explorers Club is hosted by Deputy Lyle and meets every Wednesday after school in the Commons area. The club is open to all SHS and WRMS students in good academic standing.
  • Lunch Committee Meetings: 1st Wednesday = Youth and Government; 2nd Wednesday = Prom Committee; 3rd Wednesday = ASB
